How can we prepare our bodies to enjoy full health? Ozone autohemotherapy offers us many answers.
From the perspective of biological medicine, health is based on our ability to maintain balanced pH, low cellular oxidation, and properly functioning detoxification mechanisms. Our genetic makeup, lifestyle, and diet—all the factors that surround our lives—are parameters that can tip the balance toward good health or toward disease. The former does not depend on us, but we can contribute to the activation and development of certain pathologies.
If we want to prevent the negative effects of our lifestyle, the consequences of illness, infections, etc., from causing discomfort or disease, we have to counteract them and reset the counter to zero. To do this, at Biosalud Day Hospital we use autohemotherapy, a technique with numerous properties that we apply as part of our personalized medicine treatments and in our disease prevention program.
Autohemotherapy is a technique whereby we extract blood from the patient, ozonate it, and reintroduce it into the vein through a closed circuit. In this way, the blood transports the properties of ozone, a highly therapeutic gas, throughout the body.

What are the properties of autohemotherapy?
- Antioxidant
- Oxygenating
- Lipolytic effect
- Healing
- Bactericide
- Fungicide
- Deacidifier
Antioxidant effect: ozone activates endogenous antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione peroxidase) that catalyze or accelerate certain chemical reactions in substrates that react with free radicals (FR). The action of free radicals accelerates cellular oxidation and can cause pathological aging of the body, accelerating the natural aging process.
Oxygenating effect: the greater the amount of oxygen in the blood, the greater the energy production in the cells. This oxygenation, which occurs naturally in the body when venous blood is converted into arterial blood by the action of O2, is directly induced by introducing ozone into the closed circuit of major autohemotherapy.
Lipolytic effect: when ozone is administered intravenously, it helps clean the inner layer of the arteries. This is a fundamental effect in the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
Healing effect: due to its oxygenating effect, it activates internal regulation mechanisms and tissue regeneration.
Deacidifying effect.
Anti-infective effect: ozone eliminates or inactivates pathogens such as viruses, fungi, and bacteria. It is very effective, for example, in the treatment of candidiasis.
